New South Wales Health have stated an attendee at a recent Oasis show in Sydney has been found to have measles.
Oasis recently wrapped up the Australian leg of their Oasis Live ’25 tour, which saw them go Down Under for the first time in 20 years.
The triumphant run of shows concluded with concerts at the Accor Stadium in Sydney on November 7th and November 8th.
The local health organisation have now confirmed that a case of measles confirmed in Queensland visited Sydney to attend the Oasis show on November 8th at the Accor Stadium.
They were also at Sydney airport, Sydney Central Business District, as well as in various inner west locations and on numerous trains between November 8th and November 10th.
Anyone who visited any of the locations above, including the Oasis show on November 8th, have been told to monitor for symptoms until November 28th.
Dr Jeremy McAnulty, of New South Wales Health, warned those who attended the concert, “It’s important for people to stay vigilant if they’ve been exposed, and if they develop symptoms, to please call ahead to their GP or emergency department to ensure they do not spend time in the waiting room with other patients.”
Additionally, Queensland Health have confirmed that three cases of measles have been linked to Jelly Roll’s concert at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on October 24th. These three individuals were active in the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Wide Bay regions of Australia while contagious.
In Queensland, there have been 30 cases of measles reported this year so far, which is higher than typical.
Meanwhile, the Oasis Live ’25 tour is set to embark on its final leg in South America which will begin at the Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 15th.
