The Season Finale: Far Out announce live London show with Jeanie and the White Boys

As we planned for 2026 and reaffirmed Far Out’s commitment to new music, one thing was certain: we didn’t want to just sit behind our desks, write a few recommendations, make some playlists, drop a few names and call it a day.

No, we wanted to fully support the artists we believe in, not just with words, but by giving them a real platform. Now, that means giving them a stage…quite literally.

For Far Out’s first event, we’ve partnered with The Season, a month-long event series in London that showcases the best emerging talent in the city’s top independent venues. On February 28th, we’ll close out the run with a major season finale at The Old Blue Last, one of the capital’s most beloved and historic venues.

“It’s one of these places that’s just stood the test of time, and so many bands have cut their teeth coming through playing here,” Swim Deep told Far Out back in 2025 when Old Blue Last was celebrating its 20th birthday. Enduring as an essential and truly loved venue and pub, it’s been a meeting point and a playground for rising stars since it opened. So when it came to picking a location, the choice was obvious.

It was also obvious, given that the Old Blue is the stomping ground of one of our Class of 2026 spotlight artists, that we’re sticking with all through their year; Jeanie and the White Boys.

On any given weekend, Jeanie Crystal is likely found spinning records there or running her own art collective nights. But as a band that demands to be seen to be believed, with the best of them lying in their frantic and impassioned live energy, their headline slot will be one not to miss.

Femur and Getner to support

Backing them up, we’ve left the city of London, pulling in some of the most exciting and intriguing talent from around the country.

From Sheffield, the city’s darlings, Femur, are venturing down to London and bringing their psyche-punk sounds with them. Building and working for years, honing their sonic chaos and gathering a cult following, they’ve more than cut their teeth on the live music circuit. One performance at Old Blue from Femur had the crowd visibly worried about the shaking floor.

Opening up, Getner will be coming down. From Manchester but by way of Ireland, this is a band that merges the gobbiness of the northern with the gobbiness of the Irish for biting lyrics laced with a good dose of silliness, and raging instrumentals to power it all. They don’t have a single song out yet, and it doesn’t matter at all. See them once, and you’ll be on board.

All going down on February 28th – a prime Saturday night in the city – the venue is sure to be rattling through their three-band speed lap of the most exciting fresh punk talent around; handpicked by Far Out, high energy guaranteed.
