Bad Bunny is losing sleep and “thinking about the Super Bowl at 4am” ahead of halftime show

Bad Bunny has looked ahead to his halftime performance at the Super Bowl, revealing that he’s been losing sleep in recent days.

After a momentous night at the Grammys on February 1st, which saw him win three awards, including the coveted ‘Album of the Year’, Bad Bunny’s month is set to take on the Super Bowl on February 8th at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

The occasion is historic, as it marks the first time that an artist will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show entirely in Spanish.

Now, in a press conference, chaired by Zane Lowe from Apple Music, Bad Bunny, real name Benito Martínez Ocasio, the Puerto Rican star has said of the forthcoming performance, “It’s going to be easy, people only have to worry about dancing. They don’t even have to learn Spanish. Better they learn to dance. There is no better dance than the one that comes from the heart.”

He said of his aim for the show, “I just want people to have fun.”

On the possibility of special guests, Bad Bunny coyly said, “You know, that’s something that I’m not gonna tell you.”

The star added, “Of course, I have a lot of guests. It’s gonna be my family, my friends, or all the Latino community around the world that support me.”

However, despite being accustomed to performing on the biggest stages, Ocasio admitted to Lowe, “Last night, I couldn’t sleep”, and he was “thinking about the Super Bowl at 4am”.

The Super Bowl will also see Green Day take to the stage in California prior to the game kicking off, before Bad Bunny performs at halftime.

In protest of the political beliefs of Bad Bunny and Green Day, the right-wing organisation Turning Point USA, founded by the late Charlie Kirk, are set to broadcast an alternative Super Bowl halftime show headlined by Kid Rock.

According to Bad Bunny, his Super Bowl halftime show is set to be “a huge party,” and he’s shown no intentions of making it a political affair.
