British actor Noel Clarke has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape in 2007.

The former Doctor Who star was questioned by police in London on February 10th and has since been bailed. He is also facing allegations of exposure and sexual assault by touching.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said in a statement, “A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, exposure and sexual assault by touching on Tuesday 10 February. He was interviewed by detectives.

They continued, “This arrest relates to a sexual offence, which is alleged to have taken place in 2007 in London against a woman in her 20s.”

The spokesperson added, “The man was also interviewed in relation to a voyeurism allegation, for which he was previously arrested in September 2025. This relates to an offence allegedly committed in 2013 at an address in London against a woman in her 20s. The man was bailed pending further inquiries and the Met’s investigation continues.”

Clarke has yet to comment on his arrest.

The actor, who also starred in, wrote and directed Adulthood and Brotherhood, has not worked since 2021, when 20 women accused Clarke of acting inappropriately in a professional capacity in an article by The Guardian.

Clarke denied the allegations and later sued the publication, but a judge ruled against him, stating that The Guardian “succeeded in establishing both truth and public interest defences to the libel claim”.

During a court hearing last September, it was ruled that Clarke must pay an initial £3 million in damages after losing the libel case.
