Nancy Sinatra has revealed her late father, Frank Sinatra, “loathed” Donald Trump.
Sinatra made the revelation on social media while condemning the Trump administration and the ongoing ICE raids across the United States.
In response to a video of an alleged ICE raid targeting Latin workers at a construction site, Nancy initially wrote on X, “This is not my father’s America. He would be devastated. Trump is so wrong in so many ways.”
Then, a social media user attempted to school Nancy on her father’s political leanings, writing, “Your Dad would have loved Trump.”
She then replied, “Do some homework before you make a fool of yourself. My dad LOATHED trump.”
In 2017, Frank Sinatra’s former manager Eliot Weisman revealed the dislike that his client had for Trump in his autobiography, The Way It Was: My Life with Frank Sinatra.
Weisman had agreed a deal for Sinatra to perform a residency at Trump’s Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City in 1990, which had recently opened.
However, following the death of Trump employee Mark Grossinger Etess, who made the agreement with Weisman, Trump personally intervened and attempted to “lowball” the singer.
As a result, Weisman claimed that Sinatra told Trump to “go fuck himself” and instead performed a residency at the Sands in Las Vegas rather than the Taj Mahal.
Nancy is a vocal critic of Trump, and said in 2021 to The Guardian, after he was beaten by Joe Biden, that “it crossed my mind to move to another country” had the election gone the other way.
She also said, “I’ll never forgive the people that voted for him, ever. I have an angry place inside of me now. I hope it doesn’t kill me.”
In addition to his personal issues with Trump, Frank notably had a lifelong affiliation with the Democratic Party.
