Neil Young, Kings of Leon and The Lumineers have been confirmed to headline the new UK festival, State Fayre.
The three-day event is set to be held on the grounds of Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, formerly the home of V Festival, between June 26th and June 28th, 2026.
The bill also boasts The Black Crowes, Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton, Counting Crows, Amble, Kingfishr, Dylan Gossett, Sierra Ferrell, Max McNown, KT Tunstall, The Coral and many more.
The capacity for the new festival, which promises to be a celebration of rock music, Americana, and barbecue, is set to be around 30,000. Unlike most new UK festivals, State Fayre is a camping event.
Kings of Leon, who recently announced a UK tour, will top the bill on the Friday night. Their summer tour will see them perform at arenas in Manchester and Leeds with The Snuts as special guests, before headlining Bellahouston Park in Glasgow on July 3rd.
Then, Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts, who also confirmed details of a huge UK and Europe tour today, will headline the Saturday of the new festival in Essex. The final day of State Fayre will be brought to a close by The Lumineers.
State Fayre’s organisers Anna-Sophie Mertens and Alex Simmonds of Live Nation, said of the new event: “We are thrilled to unveil a brand new camping festival that builds on the phenomenal UK growth in Americana, rock and country over the past few years.”
They continued, “We’re so excited to present this music in an immersive outdoor setting complete with the authentic food, activities and big open skies of an American state fair.”
Tickets are set to go on general sale on November 28th at 9am.
Meanwhile, Young and The Chrome Hearts will begin their summer tour in Manchester on June 19th at Heaton Park, before visiting France, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy.
While in the UK, he will also headline the brand new Blenheim Palace Festival in Oxfordshire on July 3rd, 2026.
