Hillsboro rapper J’Moris returns with “Drink of Choice,” a track that feels like a quiet conversation between memory and momentum. It’s smooth on the surface but heavy underneath, carried by his signature mix of melody and reflection. The production sits in that Southern pocket—warm, direct, and minimal enough to let his storytelling breathe.

Rather than chasing trends, J’Moris keeps his focus on honesty. Drink of Choice sounds like someone weighing their options in real time, acknowledging both temptation and control. It’s about habits, about what you reach for when you’re tired or triumphant, and about recognizing that every small choice adds up. There’s no need for bravado here. The song works because it feels lived in. It’s the sound of someone who’s been through enough to know better, but still feels the pull of what’s familiar.
With ‘Drink of Choice,’ J’Moris steps into a new era of focus, using his sound to show where he’s been and where he’s heading.

A Catalog That Speaks in Experience

J’Moris has built a catalog defined by its consistency and perspective. A single like Cut Off or his album Toxic Lovespellreveal an artist who isn’t afraid to sit inside his experiences, turning personal tension into rhythm and rhyme. His releases carry a thorough line of self-awareness – never too polished to lose their truth, never too raw to lose their shape.

Over the years, he’s refined his sound without losing touch with where it comes from. The hooks are smoother now, the delivery more deliberate, but the substance hasn’t changed. He still writes from the same place, mapping out the distance between survival and self-definition. Every release feels like another chapter in the same story: how to live with your past without being trapped by it.

The Man Behind the Mic

J’Moris returns with his latest single “Drink of Choice.”

Hailing from Hillsboro, Texas, J’Moris is a rapper shaped by his surroundings and the choices he made within them. His sound blends Southern hip-hop’s melody with the directness of real experience. Growing up in Fort Worth during the 90s, he witnessed the challenges of street life—addiction, hustling, and instability. When his family moved to Hillsboro seeking a better life, the same struggles followed.

“My family tried to escape, but the struggles followed us. I knew I had to turn these experiences into an advantage,” he’s said. His older brother, Crunch, became both mentor and mirror, teaching him how to stay sharp without losing himself. Those lessons carried him through, helping him achieve what few around him could, like graduating high school and building a life beyond the streets.

In his music, J’Moris doesn’t separate ambition from reality. He lets them coexist.

“I tell God to watch out for me while I chase the route of evil.”

For J’Moris, authenticity isn’t a brand. It’s a method. “Drink of Choice” is proof that the best stories don’t need to shout. They just need to tell the truth.
