Stephen King wants Donald Trump to be impeached

Prolific horror writer Stephen King has called for Donald Trump’s impeachment, continuing his criticism of the US President.

King is no stranger to attacking Trump. His latest post on X reads, “Deep down in his heart, I believe Trump knows he’s an incompetent asshole”.

In a new interview with The Guardian, King was asked to invent an ideal ending for Trumpian America. He pondered the question and answered: “I think it would be impeachment – which, in my view, would be a good ending. I would love to see him retired, let’s put it that way. The bad ending would be that he gets a third term and takes things over completely. It’s a horror story either way. Trump is a horror story, isn’t he?”

Previously, in 2020, the acclaimed writer of The Shining and Pet Sematary posted on X: “You lost, you miserable self-entitled infantile fucker. Concede and get the hell out.” The day before, King celebrated the Biden win by writing: “Sometimes… the good guys win.”

However, King made a bizarre move lately. Though much of the internet agrees with his anti-Trumpism, King faced a backlash on social media after claiming that the Jeffrey Epstein files don’t exist. He wrote to 6.8 million followers on X, “The Epstein client list is real. So is the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus.”

A week before this claim, the FBI announced that no such classified documents exist, despite the president claiming that he would release them during his election campaign last year.

The author also commented when Musk accused Trump of being mentioned in the Epstein files, which the Tesla owner claimed was the reason they’ve not been released, writing on X, “Couple of billionaires having a hissy little catfight. Who gives a shit? The world actually has problems.”
