Jack White recently made a guest appearance with Ringo Starr to cover The Beatles’ classic ‘With a Little Help From My Friends’.

The meeting of musical minds took place at the Bourbon and Beyond festival in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 13th, which saw Starr perform alongside his All-Starr Band, and White also delivered a career-spanning set.

Starr’s set, which also included Beatles hits ‘Octopus’s Garden’ and ‘Yellow Submarine’, was brought to a triumphant end with the assistance of White for ‘With a Little Help From My Friends’.

Following the conclusion of the performance, The Beatles drummer told those in attendance, “I want to thank everyone for joining me on stage this evening. It’s been really great. Thanks for being a great audience. Remember the music. Peace and love! I love you all.”

On January 14th, for a special performance at the Ryman Theater in Nashville, White joined Ringo for renditions of the Carl Perkins song ‘Matchbox’, and also The Beatles’ ‘Don’t Pass Me By’. Other guests that evening included Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Billy Strings, and Larkin Poe.

Meanwhile, at a recent press conference held at Milwaukee’s Riverside Theater, Starr discussed his love of performing, even at 85, sharing, “I’ve been doing this since 1989 and it just works. We are a band, this group of guys who were in their own bands, including me.”

Looking ahead to the future, Starr wants to continue touring for as long as possible, adding, “I’m still touring. You never think you’re going to get this far. And I’m still doing what I love to do. It’s something I love to do.”

The Beatles legend also confirmed that he has wrapped up work on a new country album, which is expected to arrive in 2026.
