Sadie Sink, best known for starring in Stranger Things, is set to join Tom Holland in the cast of Spider-Man 4.

Deadline reported that Sink’s role in the movie is confirmed but stated that her role is currently unknown. However, they claim that it is believed she will be appearing as X-Men character Jean Grey, yet, it remains possible that Sink could be another character within the wider universe.

At this stage, there is little information regarding the plot for the upcoming Spider-Man movie and it is still not in production. Holland is currently occupied with his work on the new Christopher Nolan movie The Odyssey, which also stars Zendaya, Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Elliot Page, Charlize Theron and Anne Hathaway.

Last October, Holland said of Spider-Man 4 during an appearance on the Rich Roll Podcast, “One of the things to bear in mind with Marvel is that your film is a small cog in a large machine”.

The English actor continued: “And that machine has got to keep running. And you need to make sure you can fit into that timeline at the right time to benefit the bigger picture. That’s one of the challenges we’re facing. The time in which we need to get that done is a tall order but definitely achievable with the fantastic people we have working on it now.”

Holland also said that the writers had done a “great job” on the draft of the movie that he had seen which has “really lit a fire in me”.

Although Sink now appears to be confirmed to appear alongside Holland in the fourth instalment in the series, information regarding other members of the cast is yet to be revealed.

Sink will also reprise her role in Stranger Things in the upcoming fifth and final season of the Netflix hit. Filming concluded at the end of 2024 and is expected to arrive on the streaming platform at some point this year.
