Ahead of the 2025 Oscars, taking place on March 2nd, the evening’s performers have been announced. Entertaining nominees, guests and viewers, as well as honouring some of the music up for awards this year, the list of musical acts has been announced.

The 2025 Oscars is set to look a little different. In January, it was announced that this year’s ceremony would not include performances from the artists nominated in the ‘Best Original Song’ category. This year, Elton John, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and more were nominated in that category. However, whereas they typically perform the track that has them in the running, this year, they will instead see the ceremony “celebrate their artistry through personal reflections from the teams who bring these songs to life”.

However, that does leave a gap for the evening’s entertainment. In addition to the awards and announcements, a different cast of musical guests, including some other nominees, will now perform.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have now been announced as performers. Wicked is up for several awards that night, including ‘Best Picture’, ‘Best Actress’, ‘Supporting Actress’, ‘Original Score’ and more. However, it’s unsure whether the co-stars will sing one of their songs from Wicked, having previously described the idea of the duo performing as “wishful thinking”.

Beyond those two nominees, the other performers announced were not up for awards that night. Blackpink‘s Lisa, Doja Cat and British singer Raye have all been confirmed as performing. The three recently collaborated on a song, but it has been said that they won’t be performing that. Instead, the Academy promised they would be performing something “legendary” as they “take the stage for a showstopping celebration of cinema”.

The final performer announced is musician and actor Queen Latifah, though, again, few details have been revealed about what she might perform.

Along with the winners of each award, it seems that all will be revealed on the star-studded night.
