Jon Bon Jovi discusses “crazy but great” experience of becoming a grandfather

Jon Bon Jovi has opened up about the experience of becoming a grandfather for the first time, calling it “crazy but great”.
The veteran rock frontman was speaking as part of a new podcast episode of Dumb Blonde hosted by Bunnie XO, after his son Jake Bongiovi and his wife, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, revealed that they had adopted a baby girl last month.
Addressing his new role as a grandfather, Bon Jovi revealed that the experience has been “Crazy, but great. Wonderful,” before adding, “They adopted a girl, we met the baby obviously and immediately that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean? Your baby.”
The singer continued: “It’s beautiful. I want to see pictures, like, every other day. I’m that pain in the butt guy already and, yeah, it’s cool.”
Bongiovi and Brown, who are 23 and 21 years old, respectively, have attracted attention for the fact that they decided to marry and start a family at such a young age, but Bon Jovi said this was with his blessing.
“We blessed it because we get it, you know?” he noted. “They’re sort of mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young.”
It comes as the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary on September 21st, with Brown posting a picture of herself and Bongiovi from the day on Instagram, which she captioned: “One year married. I love being your wife.”
When announcing that they had become parents in August, the couple shared a joint statement on the social media platform that said: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this next chapter of parenthood with both peace and privacy.”
