Brit Awards 2025: Sam Fender and Lola Young confirmed to play at ceremony

Sam Fender and Lola Young are the latest artists announced to perform at the Brit Awards, which will take place at London’s O2 Arena on March 1st.
Both Fender and Young are among the nominees at this year’s ceremony. Fender is shortlisted for both ‘Artist of the Year’ and ‘Alternative/Rock Act’. Meanwhile, Young, who secured her first number one single with ‘Messy’ earlier this year, is nominated in the category for ‘Pop Act’.
Fender, who is set to release his new album People Watching on February 21st, previously won the prestigious ‘Rising Star’ award in 2019 and the prize for ‘Alternative/Rock Act’ in 2022. In a statement, he said of performing: “Me and the band are so excited to perform at The Brit Awards this year – we can’t wait to get up on that stage again!”
Meanwhile, Young remarked: “I am super excited and grateful to be performing at The Brit Awards this year. It’s a dream come true and an absolute honour to share this moment alongside so many incredible artists. To be nominated is a huge achievement for me and I’m so thankful for all the support I’ve received.”
They join a growing list of performers at the Brit Awards following the announcement of Jade, Myles Smith, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims and The Last Dinner Party.
Additionally, Sabrina Carpenter is set to take to the stage at the O2 Arena. She will also receive the ‘Global Success’ award and become the first international artist to win it, following previous recipients Ed Sheeran, Adele, Sam Smith, and One Direction.
Charli XCX is the most nominated artist at this year’s ceremony. In addition to being shortlisted in the ‘Song of the Year’ category, her album, Brat, has been nominated for ‘Album of the Year’. Charli is also up for ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Pop Act’ and ‘Dance Act’.
Meanwhile, The Last Dinner Party are trailing Charli XCX behind with four nominations. The indie band, who were crowned with the ‘Rising Star’ award in 2024, have been nominated for ‘Group of the Year’, ‘Best New Artist’, ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Alternative/Rock Act’.
