Razzies 2025: The full nominations list

With every year of great new movies that instantly assert themselves as Oscar contenders, comes an array of considerably less impressive movies. Box-office bombs, critical disappointments and internet meme fodder typically head for a different awards ceremony – The Razzies.

Officially known as The Golden Raspberry Awards, the ceremony annually crowns the worst in cinema, and the nominations for this year have just been announced. It’s a bad year for various movies that were hotly tipped for success, including Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis and Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie a Deux. 

These movies fared badly upon their release, but at the Razzies, they swept the nominations, with Megalopolis earning six while the Joker sequel has picked up seven. 

One of the most panned films of the year, Marvel’s catastrophic Madame Web, has received nominations in major categories including ‘Worst Picture’, ‘Director’, and ‘Screenplay’. Both its main star, Dakota Johnson, and two of its supporting actors, Emma Roberts and Tahar Rahim, have been nominated, too. 

Jon Voight’s name is in the ‘Supporting Actor’ category, but not just for one film—he earned his nomination for four movies he appeared in last year: ShadowLand, Strangers, Megalopolis, and the disastrous biopic Reagan. 

Reagan is also nominated for ‘Worst Picture’, ‘Screenplay’, ‘Actor’ for Dennis Quaid, ‘Supporting Actress’ for Leslie Anne Down, and ‘Screen Combo’ for both Quaid and Penelope Ann Miller. The film, directed by Sean McNamara, was received overwhelmingly negatively, and so far, Razzies are the only awards it has been nominated for.

Moreover, the ‘Screen Combo’ category is particularly unforgiving this year, taking a swipe at Borderlands with ‘Any Two Obnoxious Characters (But Especially Jack Black)’ and ‘The Entire Cast of Megalopolis’.

The ceremony will take place on March 1st, 2025, in Los Angeles.
