Baie-Saint-Paul, Canada-based singer-songwriter Yann Brassard recently released his new song “Overnight,” a beautifully sounding piece with

’70s and 80’s disco vibes. The song is both nostalgic and modern. However, unique-sounding musicality is not the most exciting thing about the song. “Overnight” was recorded by Yann during the pandemic, and the circumstances of the process will blow your mind: the artist has created all the instrumental parts only by his mouth. Besides the drums, anything you hear on “Overnight” is thanks to Yann’s multi-talented nature.

He has already proven himself as a unique musician and artist in Québec’s La Voix 6, where he was a finalist. His two French releases, “Mission Commando” and “Dangereuse,” came to clarify that the audience’s opinion on him is strongly backed up with evidence. However, the release of “Overnight” takes his status as a creator to a whole new level. It seems like everything is special about the song. It is the artist’s first release after “Mission Commando” and “Dangereuse” in English; it has such a unique recording history and breathes fresh air into the long-forgotten disco genre.
