In the lead-up to the release of the fifth and final season, Stranger Things has released the first five minutes of the new series.

The first batch of episodes for the final season of Stranger Things will arrive on November 27th. Following this, the second half of the season will be released on December 26th, ahead of the finale on January 1st, 2026.

However, to whet fans’ appetite, the first five minutes of the first episode have been released. In the clip, Will Byers, played by Noah Schnapp, can be seen singing to himself while trapped in the Upside Down. When a monster breaks into his makeshift shelter, he picks up his rifle and shoots it in the face.

The young child runs away from the monster, climbing a tree to escape. However, another demagorgen approaches as he clings to the branch, after which he jumps to another tree. He falls and is taken by the monster, who drags Byers to an evil lair.

There, he is met by another monster, who looks at the child and declares, “At long last. We can begin.” His vine-like extrusions then appear to funnel evil into the character. “You and I, we are going to do such beautiful things together, William. Such beautiful things.” The monster says.

The synopsis for the new season of Stranger Things reads: “The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding.”

It continues: “As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”

Recently, the Duffer Brothers, who created the show, have ruled out any potential reboot in the future, sharing, “This really is the end of the story of Eleven and Mike and Lucas and Dustin and Steve and all these characters, and Hawkins specifically.”
