Kelley Mack, an actor known for her role in The Walking Dead as Hilltop Colony resident Addy in season nine, passed away at 33.

Her family announced her passing via her social media accounts. Their statement began, “It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.”

Mack passed away on August 2nd, after battling glioma of the central nervous system. The news of her health struggle was announced several months before her passing when A CaringBridge page had been set up to provide updates on her condition.

The shared statement continued, “Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.”

Despite her age, Mack enjoyed a lengthy career. Before appearing on the AMC show, she appeared in several miniseries such as 2015’s Unusual Suspects, 2015’s Grayson: Earth One, 2016’s Not Your Average Joe, and 2016’s Unscrewed. In 2019, she appeared on episodes of 9-1-1, and also starred on Chicago Med in 2022.

Mack is also the voice match for Hailee Steinfeld, who voiced Gwen Stacey, in the Oscar-winning 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Mack has one final work that is yet to be released into the world. She acted as executive producer on the forthcoming movie Universal. Only weeks ago, she shared the news that the film’s world premiere was at the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. “It’s a small, down-to-earth film about huge, out-of-this-world concepts,” she shared.

Mack is survived by her parents, brother Parker and sister Kathryn, grandparents, and her “dearest boyfriend,” Logan.
