The line-up for Sziget Festival in Hungary has been revealed for 2026, featuring headliners including Florence and the Machine, Lewis Capaldi, and Twenty One Pilots.

The festival will return to the Óbuda Island in Budapest, otherwise known as the Island of Freedom, for five massive days next summer, bringing a stacked bill of names along with it.

Joining the headliners will be the likes of Biffy Clyro, Sombr, Dijon, Underworld, Lambrini Girls, Tash Sultana, Bbno$, and Dom Dolla, as well as many more names yet to be announced.

The event is set to take place over the course of August 11th to August 15th, 2026, with the musical sets accompanied by circus, theatre, and art performances, as is traditional for Sziget.

Since its inception back in 1993, Sziget has become one of the highest profile festivals across the European continent, with more than 60 stages and 1,000 performances typically filling the line-up each year.

The 2025 edition of the festival was headlined by Anyma, A$AP Rocky, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Post Malone, and Shawn Mendes.

However, it was also marked by certain controversies, after Kneecap, who were originally on the bill, were banned from entering Hungary as the government claimed the band “normalises hate and terror, and puts democratic values on the line”.

The move was condemned by both Sziget and Kneecap, who despite having to cancel their performance, still appeared via a message displayed on stage at the time their slot was meant to take place.

Part of their message said: “We have been convicted of zero crimes in any country ever. But we will call out oppression. For calling out Israel’s genocidal campaign Viktor [Orbán] has banned us from your beautiful country for three years. Israel is committing a genocide against the Palestinian people. Viktor Orbán and his government support it.”
