St Vincent, Lucy Dacus, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, and many more have been announced as part of the lineup for a new benefit concert in aid of the LA wildfire relief, titled, Give A Fuck LA.
The concert, which will take place on February 5th at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, follows the announcement of several other benefit shows in the area, such as the upcoming FireAid concerts and the one-off Blink-182 show that will also take place at the same venue the following week.
Earlier in January, a series of wildfires swept through the area and caused devastating losses, with over 150,000 residents being forced to leave the area as the fires destroyed large parts of the California city. The official death toll caused by the fires currently stands at 28.
Among the other performers at the one-day fundraiser are the likes of Perfume Genius, Finneas, Courtney Barnett and Jenny Lewis. Hosting the event will be comedian and actor John C Reilly, with DJ sets scheduled from former Girlpool member Harmony Tividad and comedian/rapper Fat Tony. An afterparty will also be hosted by Rico Nasty and Dylan Brady.
Tickets are set to go on sale on January 28th with an option to livestream the event via Veeps for a minimum donation of $5 for those unable to attend the concert in person.
Several notable artists have pledged money towards the wildlife relief fund in recent weeks, with Metallica donating $500,000 towards the efforts, and Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD Foundation donating a total of $2.5 million in relief aid.
Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl has also been helping out those affected by the fires, spending the whole of his recent birthday helping out local charity Feed the Streets by preparing and handing out hot meals to those without access.
