Actor Pedro Pascal was recently spotted showing solidarity with the transgender community at the premiere of the new Thunderbolts movie.

The Last of Us actor appeared at Cineworld Leicester Square to support the Marvel film. He wore the viral ‘Protect the Dolls’ t-shirt, which he had also worn during his 50th birthday celebration on April 6th.

The shirt was designed by Conner Ives, who debuted it at his February AW25 London Fashion Week show. The description on Ives’ website reads, “All proceeds from the sale of this t-shirt will be donated directly to Trans Lifeline, a trans-led US-based charity that delivers life-saving services to those who need them most.”

The garment, which costs £75, is currently sold out at the time of writing. However, pre-order is available, and the funds will still go to Trans Lifeline.

Pascal has always been an advocate for the community. He has a publicly supportive relationship with The Last of Us co-star Bella Ramsey, who came out as non-binary at the age of 19. Pascal’s sister, Lux Pascal, also came out as a transgender woman in February 2021.

After the UK Supreme Court ruled that gender identity must be based on biological sex, many celebrities have expressed their solidarity with the transgender community.

Other artists who have specifically adorned the ‘Protect the Dolls’ T-shirt include Troye Sivan, who appeared in Charli XCX’s Coachella first weekend set. Tate McRae has also posted a selfie on Instagram wearing the item.

Pascal will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, set for release on July 25th, 2025.
