Meghan Markle is set to return to Hollywood for a role in Brie Larson and Lily Collins’ new movie.

The performance in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios production, titled Close Personal Friends, marks Markle’s first acting role since she married Prince Harry in 2018 and entered the Royal Family.

Prior to becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Markle starred in the hit legal drama series Suits, but left the show after her engagement in 2017, with her final episode airing in April 2018.

Since then, her work in film and television has been limited to documentaries, including her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

It was reported that Markle was seen on the set of the movie in Pasadena, California, on November 5th. A source confirmed to People, “Meghan was on the set today. She seemed very relaxed and happy. She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth.”

The movie, directed by Big Time Adolescence’s Jason Orley, also stars Jack Quaid and Henry Golding in major roles. Orley also co-wrote the project with Isaac Aptaker who handled the screenplay.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming movie “is known to center on one couple that meets and befriends a celebrity couple while on a trip to Santa Barbara. Personal lines get crossed, among other things, and awkward hilarity ensues”.

There is currently no information regarding when Close Personal Friends is set for release.
