Colombian singer Maluma criticised a fan at a recent show in Mexico City for bringing a young child to his show without ear protectors.

The Latin Grammy-winning artist performed three shows as part of his +Pretty +Dirty World Tour, which concludes on August 16th, at the Palacio de los Deportes in the Mexican capital, wrapping up on August 9th.

At one stage during the show, Maluma paused the concert to ask a mother in the crowd, “With all due respect… how old are they? A year old? Less? A year. Do you think it’s a good idea to bring a one-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this fucking high? Where is the sound this loud? That baby doesn’t even know what it’s doing here.”

The musician, who boasts over 45 million monthly listeners on Spotify, added, “Next time, protect their ears or something. For real. It’s heavy. It’s your responsibility. You’re waving them around like they’re a toy. That baby doesn’t want to be there, for real. I’m telling you with all love and respect, now that I’m a father… would never bring them to a concert.”

The Colombian concluded by saying, “For the next time, be a bit more aware.”

Following the footage’s emergence, the clip of Maluma scolding the fan has been viewed millions of times on social media.

His tour recently passed through Europe earlier this year, which included a huge date at the Movistar Arena in Madrid, as well as headline shows at the O2 Arena in London and the Palau Saint Jordi in Barcelona.

The tour concludes on August 16th in Zapopan, Mexico.
