Halsey told a fan that she “almost fucking died to be on this stage” at her concert in Boston hours after being admitted to hospital.

On the day of her second concert at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston on November 3rd, Halsey revealed she had a “minor medical emergency” following her show at the same venue a day prior.

The singer, who is currently on tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of Badlands, revealed she had been in ER until 6am on November 3rd. However, the show still went ahead with Halsey writing on Instagram Stories, “I am A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight! but if I’m pacing myself, that’s why!”

Then, at the concert, Halsey paused the show after a member of the audience told her to “stop talking and play”, replying, “You think you’re tough shit because you’re from Boston?”

She added, “I’m from Jersey, baby. I’ll whoop your ass. My dad’s from Boston, my mom’s from Jersey, that basically makes me a fucking demon. I’m gonna play whatever the fuck I wanna play.”

Halsey then reiterated her message, stating, “In case you didn’t hear me correctly, I almost fucking died to be on this stage. I’m going to play whatever the fuck I wanna play.”

Taking to X to address the incident, Halsey explained why she said what she said during the show in Boston, sharing, “I’ve been polite but won’t be caught dead letting a man tell me what I should play in my set.”

Her tour is set to resume on November 4th at The Anthem in Washington DC. Early next year, Halsey will bring the Back to the Badlands tour to the United Kingdom to play Aviva Studios in Manchester and three nights at O2 Academy Brixton in London.

In September, Halsey revealed during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music that she’s not currently considering her next album due to label restrictions, stating, “I can’t make an album right now. I’m not allowed to”. She expanded, “That’s the reality, because The Great Impersonator didn’t perform the way they thought it was going to.”

Halsey then divulged that The Great Impersonator sold 100,000 copies in its first week, which she described as a “pretty big first week, especially for an artist who hasn’t had a hit in a long time”.
