Jon Bon Jovi has revealed he doesn’t know when he’ll be able to tour again after undergoing vocal surgery in 2022.

For the last two years, the veteran rock singer has steadily been on the road to recovery, but is yet to receive a concrete date for his comeback. Despite his ongoing health issues, Bon Jovi does still hold hope to return to touring in 2025, but it remains uncertain whether his wishes will be granted.

During a new interview with radio station Mix 104.1 Boston, Bon Jovi stated: “I don’t know about a tour. It is my desire to do a tour next year, but I’m just still recovering from a major surgery.”

“Although I’m well on the road to recovery and was able to take my time and do a song a day when I made the record, my need, want, desire is to be able to do two-and-a-half hours a night four nights a week for months on end,” the rock vocalist elabroated.

Bon Jovi concluded: “And so I’m working towards that goal.”

Earlier this year, while speaking at a Hulu panel for the Bon Jovi documentary series Thank You, Good Night, the singer told People that his “craft was being taken from me” by his vocal problems.

He explained: “It’s been a difficult road, but I found a doctor in Philadelphia who did something called a medialisation because one of my cords was literally atrophying. Sometimes people get nodules – that’s pretty commonplace.”

While the singer was proud to take to the stage on February 2nd to perform alongside Bruce Springsteen at the MusiCares Person of the Year Awards, Bon Jovi is still unable to commit to a full headline show or tour.

Nevertheless, after the performance, he gleefully told People: “Saturday morning is the first time I woke up without multiple voices in my head. It was just me. And that was the best feeling. It was just me.”

Although they are unable to tour, Bon Jovi are set to have a busy year with the release of their forthcoming album, Forever. The LP is set to arrive on June 7th through BMG and has been teased by the new single, ‘Legendary’.

In press materials, the singer said of Forever: “This record is a return to joy. From the writing, through the recording process, this is turn up the volume, feel good Bon Jovi.”
