Bam Margera is reportedly set to make a sensational return to the Jackass franchise.

Earlier this week, it was revealed by Johnny Knoxville that the forthcoming Jackass film is set to be released in cinemas on June 26th, 2026, through Paramount Pictures.

It marks the first Jackass film since Jackass Forever in 2022. During filming, Margera was cut from the film reportedly due to substance abuse issues.

Since then, Margera has claimed that he will never return to Jackass in any capacity. He said in 2025: “They have like new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had to go to court over it and I just, you couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them.”

Now, according to Variety, Margera is set to appear in the upcoming movie via archival footage that have never been seen before.

However, he will reportedly not be filming any new stunts for the forthcoming project.

Speaking to TMZ, Jackass’ Steve-O gave his backing to a possible Margera return on January 8th, telling the publication, “There’s still some stuff that needs to be worked out, but there’s nothing that would be better than a full-circle redemption, triumphant return, and for us to ride off into the sunset on a win — all of us together.”

At this stage, it has not been officially confirmed who will be joining Knoxville in the fifth Jackass film.

The movie’s announcement was made on Knoxville’s social media channels. He told his followers, “Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!!”
