My Chemical Romance have teased their fans by releasing a cryptic new video on social media.
The band took to Instagram on January 25th to share the silent clip, which features the word “phantom” flashing up in neon green writing, along with the words “A game you will play” in the caption.
The cryptic messaging has subsequently sent fans into overdrive, as speculation mounts that some form of new project, specifically new music, could potentially be n the way.
If this proves to be true, this would mark a massive comeback for My Chemical Romance, after their last album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, was released 16 years ago now in 2010.
Despite the intermission of their break-up during this time, the band have sporadically shared some new singles over the past few years since they reformed, starting with ‘The Foundations of Decay’ in 2022.
They also subsequently premiered a new song called ‘War Beneath the Rain’, which was written before their 2013 hiatus, in July last year as part of their Long Live: The Black Parade US stadium tour.
It comes as that iconic album marks its 20th anniversary over the course of this year, with My Chemical Romance marking the massive milestone by extending their tour and taking it all over the world.
The band will head to the UK this summer to perform five shows in Liverpool, Glasgow, and London, following on from two shows at Wembley Stadium they previously announced last year.
They recently kicked off the 2026 leg of the world tour on January 22nd at the Vive Claro stadium in Bogotá, Colombia, followed by the Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru, on January 25 th.
Two gigs in Santiago, Chile, will round out the rest of the month, while the band continue their South American leg into February with dates in both Argentina and Brazil.
