After a troubled press tour in support of It Ends With Us, the film’s lead actor, Blake Lively, accused director and co-star Justin Baldoni of creating a smear campaign against her following her claims of sexual harassment. Now, another co-star, Brandon Sklenar, has posted in support of Lively, becoming one of many public figures who have spoken out in support of the actor.

Baldoni was accused of sexual harassment by Lively in a recent lawsuit. Lively claimed he had made her uncomfortable in various ways, leading to a meeting between the two and their lawyers during production.

As a result of the meeting, it was agreed that for the rest of filming, Baldoni would no longer speak on matters such as his previous pornography addiction and sexual history, Lively’s weight, Lively’s late father, and Baldoni’s genitalia. Additionally, she requested for him to stop showing her videos of nude women – something that producer Jamey Heath reportedly joined in on, too, showing Lively and other cast members explicit content of his own wife.

The lawsuit also states, rather disturbingly, that Baldoni (via The Independent) “inserted improvised gratuitous sexual content and/or scenes involving nudity into the film (including for an underage character) in highly unsettling ways.”

Lively has now filed a sexual harassment lawsuit, as well as accusing Baldoni of organising a smear campaign against the actor. The Gossip Girl star was subject to considerable scrutiny online during the press tour for the film, which she claims caused her “severe emotional distress”.

Since filing the lawsuit, various people have shown their support for Lively, including Sklenar, who plays Atlas Corrigan. He posted an Instagram story of the sexual harassment complaint, providing a link for his followers to read the full document. He urged fans, “For the love of God read this.”

Meanwhile, Colleen Hoover, author of the best-selling novel that the film is based on, also showed her support for Lively, writing online: “Blake Lively you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive, and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.”

The press tour for It Ends With Us noticeably saw Lively and Baldoni avoid attending events and interviews together. Paired with the online hatred suddenly thrown towards Lively, people were wondering what happened on the set of the film to cause such a messy aftermath. Lively is now fighting to reclaim her name in the public eye and receive justice for the harassment she alleges Baldoni is guilty of.
